Summary


This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will NOT be accepted through this flyer. Duties


  • Analyze historical financial and contractual data and brief to senior management.
  • Ensure quality results on all acquisition related documents required throughout the life cycle of the supported product or service.
  • Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Apply a working knowledge of acquisition and financial laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of all phases of acquisition planning and execution from initiation of an acquisition requirement through contract award and completion.
  • Plan and direct overall coordination and execution of acquisition requirements for assigned customers from cradle to grave
  • Provide advice, consultation, and assistance to management and technical personnel on acquisition processes and establishment/attainment of organizational program and acquisition goals.

  • This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires temporary duty/business travel of up to 25% of time. The employee is subject to travel on short notice (i.e., less than 24 hours' notice).
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:


Specialized Experience is defined as: 1) Developing policies or plans in support of assigned programs; 2) Experience with preparation of various types of contracts to ensure understanding of research and development acquisition alternatives; and 3) Develop an acquisition or contracting strategy to meet organizational requirements and goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band -DE-02 or equivalent grade level (GS-11) position in the federal service.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
