This role is responsible for helping execute Ilitch Sports + Entertainment’s marketing strategy and analytics initiatives. Supporting the Detroit Tigers (MLB) and Detroit Red Wings (NHL), this position leverages data and market research to provide actionable insights for the Marketing, Communications, Ticket Sales, and Corporate Partnerships teams. This position will be responsible for monitoring department KPI’s, developing dashboards and campaign recaps, and leading market research efforts – analyzing consumer and competitive data.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and report on data related to the team's marketing campaigns – including website traffic, social media engagement, email campaigns, and other digital initiatives.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for the team's sales and marketing efforts.
Develop and maintain databases and data visualization tools to enable effective data analysis and reporting.
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop targeted marketing campaigns based on data-driven insights.
Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to digital marketing and market research.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as marketing, statistics, or business.
2+ years of experience in a role focused on marketing data and analytics.
Proficient in using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau; SQL experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in collecting and analyzing data from various sources.
Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards.
Experience with CRM and digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, and email marketing platforms.
Understanding of large customer databases.
Excellent multi-tasking ability.
Team player mentality.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Highly-motivated individual with superior attention to detail and a desire to deliver exceptional results for business objectives.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience working in the sports and entertainment industry preferred.
