· Amazon Shopping team drives customers to Amazon websites and mobile apps, and keeps customers engaged and delighted through a variety of innovative and advanced digital marketing channels and features.

· The Business Analysis arm of the Amazon Shopping organization, Shopping Finance BI team (SFBI), is looking for an analytically minded and technically sharp Business Analyst to help scale its data infrastructure and democratize data access for Amazon-wide marketing stakeholders.

· Shopping Finance BI team (SFBI) supports Worldwide Shopping finance and Shopping teams and a broad set of category stakeholders across Shopping business.

· SFBI acts as the backbone between the Business and Finance by providing data for business reviews and decision-making while also enabling finance team to exercise high degree of controllership within complex datasets.

· The team owns the data engineering infrastructure for one of the largest data marts at Amazon (1,000+ terabytes in data size, 80+ in Redshift nodes, 6000+ in weekly query count and 200+ in downstream data teams consuming from the platform) and specializes in transit and click level data that enable marketing teams around the world to manage and optimize their business.

Years of Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas SQL and Tableau.

Basic qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering).

· Demonstrated ability in formulating analytical business problem statements, executing the analysis and presenting insights in crisp business language.

· Proven track record of driving complex, ambiguous projects.

· Proficiency in writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries across large datasets.

· Proficiency in building scalable data pipelines from end to end.

· Proficiency in building Tableau Dashboard.

· Ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.

Preferred qualifications

· MBA or advanced degree in analytics, computer science or data engineering

· 5+ years of experience as a BI Engineer, Business/Financial Analyst or Systems Analyst in an internet-based company with large, complex data sources.

· Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR and RDS.

· Experience with Machine Learning concepts and tools (Python proficiency a strong plus).

· Knowledge with statistical and/or econometric modeling.

· Demonstrated experience defining and driving an analytics roadmap.

Core Responsibilities:

· Define and deliver on complex analytical deep dives to unlock insights that inform Amazon’s traffic investment and traffic marketing strategies.

· Own end-to-end production of metrics reporting in Excel and Tableau that the organization relies on to run the business.

· Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Engineers and other engineering teams to build scalable, efficient, automated and easy-to-use data platforms.

· Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and design BI solutions to facilitate decision making process.

· Provide ongoing support to business and other engineering teams who are using SFBI published datasets/reports, such as ensure the on time delivery and data quality of the reports.

· The ideal candidate relishes working with large volumes of data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts, and, above all else, is passionate about data and analytics.

· He/she is an expert with SQL, Tableau, and business intelligence tools and passionately partners with the business to identify strategic opportunities where data driven insights creates outsized business impact.

· He/she is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoys working in a fast-paced and global team. It's a big ask, and we're excited to talk to those up to the challenge!

Daily Schedule:

· Reporting, meetings with business team

· Seeing if reports are published or not

· Ad Hoc Requests

· On-Call rotation for Ad Hoc Requests/Business questions

· Support other engineers

Compensation

The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
