Job Description
  • Provide boarding assistance to students.
  • Work in a positive, effective manner in the inclusion environment with students and staff.
  • Willingness to help special needs children.
  • Travels to and from school district buildings, to vehicle service stations, field trip locations and other destinations are required.
  • Develop positive respectful relationships with students and staff.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Bus Monitors assist drivers with the discipline, safety and overall well-being of the students while students are on the school bus.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Be punctual with all assignments, professional in manner and speech, and notify co-workers and building administration prior to necessary absences.
  • Effective human relations skills that include a calm and patient personality.
  • Determine or facilitate seating assignments.
  • Previous experience in special education is preferred.
  • Effectively collaborate and share information with the teacher of record.
  • Ability to possess and positive attitude towards students and staff.
  • Ability in adhering to safety rules and practices.
