Description


Head Start has an opening for a part-time Classroom Aide/Bus Monitor position working 28 hours per week. This position is responsible for assisting the Teacher and/or Assistant Teacher with child development activities, transitions, and active supervision in the classroom, dining room, and playground. Also responsible for riding the bus routes with the bus driver to assist the children in boarding and un-boarding and ensuring that seat belts are properly secured.


Requirements


Applicants must possess good communication skills with children and families and display positive interaction with preschool children ages 3-5. A High School diploma or equivalent is required; experience with preschool children is preferred.


Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
