Job Description
Overview:
Reports To: Varies by location

Primary Functions: Maintenance and operation of credit union buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a Scope of Work, schedule, coordinate and monitor; vendor and in house repairs and maintenance activities as required to properly maintain assigned facilities. Execute work with vendors within authorized purchase limits.
  • Maintain in an orderly fashion; building warehouse inventory to include tools, parts and equipment commonly required.
  • Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of assigned building systems and how they interrelate.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper operation, maintenance and appearance of assigned facilities within budget in a manner that is consistent with member and management expectations.
  • Work directly with area wide vendors such as janitorial, snow removal and landscaping to ensure the contract conditions are met and areas are properly maintained.
  • Establish new Preventative Work Orders as needed and complete all preventative maintenance on schedule.
  • Prepare facility inspection reports as required.
  • Provide and maintain all fixtures, furniture and equipment for building occupants according to credit union standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent

Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not applicable

Experience/Skills: Seven years experience in building maintenance or five years as a Project Specialist or other creditable experience. Must have a working knowledge of building systems, be able to work independently and to communicate with and relate to people. Basic typing skills and general computer experience is required. This position requires a valid driver's license, acceptable and insurable driving record, pre-employment physical and random drug testing. Must be able to lift 70 pounds.

Compensation:
Building Superintendent (Category 11)

Salary Pay Range: $52,258 - $81,523 annually. Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above. This position is eligible for additional on-call earnings and a uniform allowance.

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
