Position Summary


The City of Marinette seeks a candidate to fill the position of full-time Building Inspector. The Building Inspector researches applicable codes and standards, inspects properties and buildings to ensure code compliance with State Codes and City Ordinances, as well as partners with stakeholders to manage and complete projects and developments. Salary Information


Pay Scale: $55,833 - $71,441. Great fringe benefit package! Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and managed public pension systems in the country. Vacation available on your first day of employment.

Job Details


Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. Will require driving to locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • UDC - Wisconsin Commercial and Residential Building Inspection, Erosion Control, UDC
  • Requires Vocational/Technical training in building inspection/construction, and HVAC systems.
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical Inspector, UDC
  • Residency requirements apply, must reside in the State of Wisconsin and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license within six months of hire.
  • Requires Certifications in the following:
    • UDC - Wisconsin Commercial and Residential Building Inspection, Erosion Control, UDC
    • Electrical Inspector, UDC
    • HVAC Inspector, UDC
    • Construction Inspector and UDC
    • Plumbing
  • Construction Inspector and UDC
  • HVAC Inspector, UDC
