Budget Analyst | 100% REMOTE
CRG is searching for a Budget Analyst for our retail client with $50B+ in annual revenue, 2000+ stores across 21 US states, and 300,000+ employees. The Executive leadership team strives for work life balance for all its employees, while also providing extensive opportunities (but not requirements!) for overtime for Contractors. This is an excellent time to work with this innovative company as it is implementing new technologies and procedures! This position will provide the team updates on budget progress and perform financial reconciliations, gathering data from both a newly implemented system and an older system and then organizing it into a presentation. Overall, the person responsible for these tasks would play a crucial role in keeping the team informed about budget progress, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the project's financial management.
Opportunity: Contract (6 month with potential for extension)
Pay: $40-$45/hr
Location: 100% REMOTE (EST time zone)
Responsibilities:
- Resource Updates and Tracking: Monitor the project's resource utilization and make updates to the budget as necessary. This includes tracking resource allocation, identifying any changes in resource requirements, and adjusting the budget accordingly.
- Timesheet Review: Review timesheets submitted by team members to ensure accuracy and proper allocation of hours. Verify that the timesheets align with the project's budget and timeline.
- Gathering and Presenting Data: Gather financial data from both old and new system and compile into a single report. Present report to the team to update them on the status of the budget.
- Financial Reconciliations: Compare and reconcile the financial data from both sides to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. This involves reviewing and matching the expenses and income entries, verifying transactions, and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
- Budget Analysis and Estimation: Review the current budget and compare it with the actual financial data. Identify any deviations from the budget and analyze the reasons behind them. Use the collected data to create estimates for future expenditures and income.
- Miscellaneous Tasks: Apart from the core financial responsibilities, there may be additional tasks to support project management efforts. This could involve attending project meetings to take notes, following up on action items, and providing support to project managers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong Budgeting / Financial Analysis and Reconciliations experience
- East Coast time zone (EST)
- Detail oriented and Quick learner – especially with technology
