The Embassy Suites Buffalo is looking for a Breakfast Cook to join our team and prepare mouthwatering, memorable meals for our guests.

As a Breakfast Cook, You Will Be Responsible For

• Ordering and stocking ingredients and inventory as needed
• Preparing and cooking various breakfast items according to recipes and standards
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations and procedures
• Working cooperatively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house staff
• Setting up and replenishing the breakfast buffet with fresh and appealing food
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work station and kitchen area
• Ensuring that all food items are cooked and served at the right temperature and quality

To be successful as a Breakfast Cook, you should have:

• Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation
• Previous experience as a Breakfast Cook or a similar role in a hotel or restaurant
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete requisitions read recipes and communicate with other team members
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to operate in a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day business setting
• Ability to arrive to work on time when scheduled
• Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards with exceptional attention to detail
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes
• A positive attitude and a customer-oriented approach
• Good working knowledge and the ability to physically operate all kitchen equipment and perform cooking methods
• A high school diploma or equivalent, a culinary or apprentice program preferred.

The shift schedule for this position is 6:00 am-1:00 pm, weekends are a requirement.
