General Purpose and Scope of Position:
This role is designed to support data management for field research programs in Branded Technologies’ products, including adjuvants, plant nutrition, and specialty actives across the Agribusiness Division. The position will work with the Branded Technologies Data Manager and members of the R&D Data Management Team, National Field Development Manager, Technical Service Managers, and Regional Field Development Specialist to manage data files, structured databases, and metadata regarding research trials, as well as summarizing data to communicate to outside audiences for marketing and training purposes.
- Assist with running data reports and creating graphs of summarized results where needed. Assist with data processing flow to optimize efficiency in publishing results
- With managed file shares, maintain master backups of all files with standardized versions
- Manage database of obtained research data through the lifecycle from acquisition to published content, including archiving, uploading, and indexing standardized data files, as well as ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) functions for data in structured databases. Utilizing Gylling ARM, SQL management tools, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office
- Maintain the status of trial file processing
- Develop and maintain tools to help various teams utilize applicable data files to meet needs for marketing and product planning use, and increase efficiencies through automation and creative solutions for data processing and promoting results
The position is remote with a preference for key agricultural areas within the Wilbur-Ellis footprint roughly from the west coast into the great lakes region and down to Texas.
Key Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of HTML, CSS, Python, and VBA preferred
- Practical knowledge of and experience with standardized data entry, particularly with Gylling ARM software
- Acute observation, attention to detail, and excellent follow-through are a must
- Background in agricultural field research and a solid understanding of agricultural products including plant nutrition products, crop protection products, and adjuvants/surfactants, preferred
- Ability to think creatively and find methods for automating tasks and increasing efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or related field, a basic understanding of biological sciences, and 3-5 years relevant experience required
- Aptitude for learning
- Ability to transform data into clear and concise visualizations using standardized summary templates
- Advanced software skills with a preferred emphasis on Microsoft applications including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, OneDrive, PowerPoint, SQL Server Management Studio or other SQL management tool, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:
- ARM liaison and support for the Field Development Team
- Assists with transferring data files to auditors, gathering audited files, and communicating standardization revisions.
- Review, analyze, and summarize field trial data to assist marketing and portfolio management with launches, technical information, and key learnings
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals, direct communications from management, and as directed in the employee handbook
- Perform other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
- Conducts quality data management, and processes field trials efficiently and effectively without much direct supervision
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position is $60,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
