Job Description
As a Brand Design Manager at Kellanova, you’ll be responsible for all design aspects of iconic brands like Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts and Eggo, stewarding design that people experience in their everyday lives. You will manage and direct a core group of agencies to leverage distinctive assets and create engaging brand experiences that drive growth and innovation.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Brand Design Leadership – You will be responsible for leading the design strategy for a key brand or category of brands. Leadership, influence, and collaboration will be your key ingredients to success.
  • Design Agency Performance – Your ability to lead through others and inspire our core group of agencies will also be a critical success factor. We are committed to driving best-in-class partnerships with our design agencies with annual performance reviews and two-way feedback to drive change and accelerate growth.
  • Seeks to understand business challenges & how design can solve. Translate this to design objectives, goals & success
  • Quality in, quality out – Your design leadership role requires a tight partnership with other disciplines to drive brand stewardship and design mastery throughout the Kellogg design process. Including governing the quality of strategic design briefs, clarity of roles, and decision rights for Tier 1 and Tier 2 packaging design initiatives.
  • Leveraging your Design Capabilities – Are you excited/inspired by the idea of partnering with world-class design firms to develop best in class design? We hope so because in this role you will manage the relationship with top-level design firms to create exceptional design and achieve a holistic brand expression.
  • Total Brand Experience – You will lead the development of new assets for use across marketing touchpoints, especially during the photography and illustration process. Fueling engagement with our consumers and ensuring brand continuity.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS


  • BS/BFA in a discipline of Design (graphic, industrial)
  • Experience working within or collaborating with creative agencies
  • Minimum 10 years related work experience in graphic design, design management or brand strategy for CPG or FMCG industry
  • Experience working on national consumer brands
  • Software fluency in latest graphics & business programs: Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) & Microsoft (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Use of empathy and non-linear thinking while able to work well with linear thinking business partners. The ability to challenge assumptions and expand perspectives throughout the design process.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business disciplines and inspire teams creatively
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality solutions. Ensuring success and Design Excellence all the way through the last mile.
  • High level of personal responsibility, discipline, and time management
  • Experience managing creative teams, enabling and fostering brilliant design throughout the end to end process
  • A portfolio of examples of strategic design, creative excellence, and the ability to solve problems using design expertise and critical-thinking skills
