Boys Assistant Baseball Coach

Position Summary:

The Assistant Coach is a seasonal part time position. Its primary function is to assist the head coach with the SHC Athletic Program. The role is responsible for assisting with character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in sport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and help oversee the SHC BoysBaseballprogram
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team development
• Ensures that team rules and regulations regarding conduct and eligibility of the athletes are clearly communicated and followed
• Works directly with school athletic trainers in reporting injuries, teaching precautions and procedures to ensure staff/student safety and help students prevent injuries.
• Creates a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
• Maintains Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Participates in all required coaches, student athlete and parent meetings.
• Models good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards opposing team, fans, parents, officials, spectators and community
• Completes Required forms and documents in a timely manner
• Support the mission and policies of SHC and the charisms of the Daughters of Charity and De La Salle Christian Brothers through active mission and Catholic formation
