Boiler Room Operator - Maintenance Technician

Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces currently has an opening for a Boiler Operator. This individual will oversee proper and efficient operations of the boiler, air compressors, chillers, water systems, and all other equipment in the boiler area under direction of mechanical maintenance supervisor.

LOCATION: Temple, TX
HOURS: Schedule is 3 on, 2 off. You will be working 12 hr shifts.
PAY: $25-$30/hr DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain the log and records on all gauge readings.
• Monitor and control all boiler house functions (boilers, air compressors, chillers and dust collectors, etc.).
• Respond to all system alarms.
• Monitor and control Hydrotherm water storage and cooling towers.
• Prepare the boiler room for plant operations and shut downs.
• Monitor the boiler pressure, water levels, and temperature of all machinery within the boiler area.
• Shut the system down for maintenance work, then bring it back on line.

• 2 years of mechanical maintenance or boiler room experience preferred.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts (3 on, 2 off schedule)
• High school diploma or GED
• Job will involve tasks that require pushing/pulling, lifting, and handling materials of 50 pounds
