Boiler Operator - Night Shift

Here's what we want you to do:

• Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts registering various aspects of boiler operation to ensure that boilers are operating properly.
• Water sampling and treatment
• Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work.
• Investigate and report on accidents.
• Operate or tend stationary engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Install burners and auxiliary equipment, using hand tools.
• Maintain the chemical dosing parts
• Responsible for building maintenances
• Maintain the air compressor and execute the PM
• Adjust controls and/or valves on equipment to provide power, and to regulate and set operations of system or industrial processes.
• Switch from automatic to manual controls and isolate equipment mechanically and electrically to allow for safe inspection and repair work.
• Clean and lubricate boilers and auxiliary equipment and make minor adjustments as needed, using hand tools.
• Monitor boiler water, chemical and fuel levels and make adjustments to maintain required levels.
• Perform compression and safety tests
• Activate valves to maintain required amounts of water in boilers, to adjust supplies of combustion air, and to control the flow of fuel into burners.
• Prepare for annual inspection of boilers
• Perform LOTO for the boiler and auxiliars
• Carry out necessary logistics work, including receive of goods, preparation of goods for upcoming production orders and loading of bulk product for shipment to co-packers.
• Perform pipe repairs
• Replace worn parts as required
• Develop operation, safety, and maintenance procedures or assist in their development.
• Communication with the Chemical supplier
• Carry out preventative maintenance
• Analyze problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuous and reliable operation of equipment and systems.
• Check the air quality of ventilation systems and make adjustments to ensure compliance with mandated safety codes.
• Track the condensate usage
• Maintain the water softener
• Be the Oatly key resource during projecting, installation and commissioning of new equipment at the site in Millville.
• Monitor and inspect equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions and to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Ensure that Food Safety, good manufacturing practice and safety policies are complied with.

• Secondary schooling or higher
• Project management competence preferred
• Process industry
• Social competence and ability to establish sound relationships with others
• Agile and adaptable
• IT competence: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SharePoint, ERP
• Black Seal license for operate high -pressure boilers
• High voltage certification
• BRC/HACCP, Environment, Sustainability
• Improvement driven and focused in delivering on goals

• Verbal and written proficiency in English
• Controls & instrumentations
