Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join a growing higher education organization in Irvine, CA. The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for administering benefits to 500- 600 Full time employees and will need to have a minimum of 2 years' experience with LOA's & accommodations.


100% Remote role: Must live in CA


Salary: $75- $85k annually ( based on experience)


Software: HRIS system Workday (preferred) , Advanced in Excel, MS Office proficient


Responsibilities

  • Own benefits functionality in Workday, modify system, maintain benefit reports, dashboards and oversee updates.
  • Manage the annual Open Enrollment process
  • Manage accommodation processes, provide guidance to benefits team and review/approve documentation. Ensure the university is compliant with processes, policies and documentation.
  • Manages leave of absence programs in compliance with FMLA and other state specific family and medical leave laws
  • Administer employee orientations & answer general benefits questions
  • Maintain benefit consultant/carrier relationships
  • Develop and oversee benefit communications and education programs
