Autism Spectrum Connection is a new company providing ABA Therapy services to children on the spectrum in the Inland Empire and Orange County area. Position Summary:
The Behavioral Technician is responsible for day-to-day execution of the behavioral health plan and will provide individual treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder using Applied Behavior Analysis under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
What you'll do:
- Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation.
- Observe, measure, and record behavior, identify progress and regression in a safe and supportive environment.
- Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding.
- Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare various documentation as required
- Understand and implement the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) as identified by the BCBA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
- Educate parents on reinforcement and early intervention information.
- Assures that behavior change is long lasting and demonstrates that the interventions being used are responsible for behavior changes.
Who you are:
- Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
- Multi-tasking skills
- Ability to specifically follow an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) and a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) utilizing sound judgment and seeking out appropriate consultation when required.
- Ability to accurately collect behavioral data
- Must complete Behavior Technician credential requirements within time frame set forth by BACB
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder preferred
