Job Description

SUMMARY: The primary function of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with behavioral and social/communication challenges.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties include the following but not considered an inclusive list.

  • Train behavior technicians on ABA program and individualized plans of care.
  • Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner according to written procedures and regulatory/payer guidelines.
  • Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS) and functional assessment measures.
  • Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Conducts and oversees the initial RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) training.
  • Teaches program staff, lead therapists and behavioral technicians on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Participates in professional meetings or conferences
  • Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Program Coordinators and Behavior Technicians.
  • Assures compliance with State/Federal law, and CARF accreditation.
  • Develops individualized goals and objectives for home-, community-, and center-based programs and designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
  • Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepares timely reports/records for quality management review with CARF and Executive Management meetings.
  • Exhibits proper cooperation, enthusiasm, and interest in all areas necessary for success of FCC and associated services provided.
  • Facilitate natural environment interventions when appropriate.
  • Responsible for interviewing/hiring/training RBTs; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding/disciplining employees; addressing complaints/resolving problems.
  • Exhibits knowledge of developments/trends in developmental disabilities and aging.
  • Communicate through checking voicemail and email regularly
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
  • Adheres to the mission, vision and values of FCC
  • Develop materials, training and provide resources for and provide professional learning to administrators, educators, para-educators and parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties.
  • Directly observe treatments administered by behavior technicians
  • Assists in community involvement for Public Relations.
  • Review technicians documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed.
  • Conducts regular parent/caregiver and teacher training and consultation.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: TBD/ Competitive Pay

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least three years experience serving individuals with ASDs with a full range of skills and abilities.
  • Experience with staff training and supervision

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • BCBA certification and/or licensed professional in BCBA
  • Masters in behavior analysis along with Behavior Analyst Certification Board approval.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and interpret medical history, assessment reports and relevant data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & COMPLIANCE:
To adhere to the following and comply with all Quality Assurances & HIPAA procedures:

  • Consumers progress notes be maintained and completed daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
  • Consumers records must be maintained weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. All information must be filed in consumers records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
  • The Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures as read and discussed in the new employee training must be followed at all times.
