Job Description
Description:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be a member of the newly established Service Delivery Team, established to serve districts in their efforts to support students with significant learning, behavioral and mental health needs. This team will provide districts with individualized plans of support to include comprehensive and coordinated planning, interventions and strategies, and the monitoring of progress for identified indicators of success. This position will support and supervise teaching assistants (Registered Behavior Technicians, RBT’s) as they plan and support implementation of individualized student support plans. Frequent communication and collaboration with the Service Delivery Team and participating districts administrators, teachers, outside health providers will be required.
This unique position will assist school teachers and administrators as they apply principles of applied behavior analysis in the educational setting to improve student behavior outcomes, including academic achievement. The position will lead teams in their efforts to address student behavior as a curricular need. The behavior specialist will provide expertise in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA’s), and connecting them to student behavior support plans (BSP’s), and supporting plan implementation. Conduct task analysis of learning and behavioral performance. The behavior specialist will also provide support and supervision to registered behavior technicians (and those seeking certification). The position will/can provide district Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI). Opening is for a full-time position.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to access community resources appropriate to the needs of students.
  • Documentation of a clear criminal record.
  • Experience writing, implementing, and monitoring individual plans of care.
  • Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Extensive experience in school-based programming. Master’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to cope with stressful traffic, weather conditions, and passenger distractions.
  • Meets all mandated health requirements.
  • Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Experience with school-based teams is required. This specialist will participate as part of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) newly established Service Delivery Team.
  • Promote a favorable image of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio and the ESCCO Service Delivery Team.
  • Provides consultation as needed to help facilitate evidence based behavior change assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Serve as member of ESCCO Service Delivery Team. Collaborate with team members and school building administrators and teaching staff.
  • Provide task analysis of learning and behavior performance.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide feedback to district administrators on individualized School Plan of Support.
  • Maintain necessary documentation of student and individual performance towards School Plan of Support and student Behavior Support Plans.
  • Guide completion of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and connecting the results to Student Behavior Support Plans (BSP). Provide ongoing review of BSP implementation.
  • Supervise and support teaching assistants seeking certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
