About the Food Specialist:
Our Food Specialists are early risers. They are at our stores working independently an hour before we open to ensure we have our delicious bagels and bakery treats ready to serve to our guests. They are responsible for prepping all our in-house-made food items as well. Personal integrity and attention to detail are key.
This is a job perfect for those who love to both work on their own, while occasionally partnering with their store leadership team to keep our quality standards at the high-level for which Caribou is known.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Food Prep
  • Maintain a sanitized and stocked prep space
  • Prepare all in house-made food items
  • Set up bakery and bagel areas
  • Prepare our par-baked bagels and pastry items
  • Partner with the leadership team to pull the right amount of frozen to thaw items needed for next day
Food Production
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food surfaces and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fridge and freezer spaces in the store
  • Create a daily prep list and enter prepped food production
  • Confirm and partner with leadership to adjust pars
  • Count inventory, including rotation of thawed items within shelf-life standards
  • Complete daily bake list
  • Accept all other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education/Training/Experience:
  • Work history in a restaurant, retail, or customer service a plus
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Servsafe certification is required – Caribou will provide this training
