THE JOB

Darien Lake Amphitheater is seeking a Bag Check Crew Member whose overall responsibility is to maintain and secure the Bag Check area at all times. This role will provide excellent customer service to all guests, clients and fellow associates.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Safeguard against theft and property damage
  • Maintain clean and organized bag check tents
  • Attend pre-shift meeting conducted by Manager on Duty prior to start of each shift.
  • Adherent to venue dress code policy
  • Provide assistance to guests and members regarding the timing of the supporting acts and headliner acts.
  • Articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with current audience
  • Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility
  • Serve as a resource of information for all Guests and Members regarding their experience in the music area. Act as an extension of our guest services and upsells team.
  • Provide assistance to all positions and communicate effectively with others to enhance guest and members’ experience
  • Ability to anticipate guests’ needs
  • Place bag check stickers on bags and organize in numerical order
  • Exemplary and professional grooming standards

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

  • Ability to work outside in all summer weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate Parkhub and iPad units.
  • 1-year work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to work late hours.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays, including late evenings.

Preferred:

  • Bi-lingual
  • Experience in a live music environment

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors and outdoors
  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
