Opening Spring 2024 - Bettenhausen Chrysler Dodge Jeep & Ram in LOCKPORT, IL!


We are looking for experienced Automotive Technicians to join our team and become the backbone of our new service department. We are looking for technicians to start their training now so we can hit the ground running!

Job Responsibilities


  • Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
  • Consult with service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.


Job Requirements


  • Diesel/Heavy duty experience preferred
  • Team member, flexible, detail oriented and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Positive attitude a must
  • Transmission Certification preferred
  • Multi-Brand technicians welcome
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
