Job Description

:

You will manage and work with the Design, Development, Launch, and Maintenance of components required to relocate the 360° Camera, Park Aid Sensors, and ADAS Radar when a new Winch Accessory is as a Dealer Channel installation for the Ford Bronco Sport Utility vehicle.

Prior experience with metal bend and fold brackets and molded plastic components required.

Project management skills are necessary to be successful in this role to ensure designs completion, prototypes procurement, and prints are released on time.

The role will be to manage existing commodities and develop future designs from inception through launch of the product to end of life of the vehicle line ensuring that new designs meet Design Rules and Requirements.

Part designs can require the development and completion of Robustness documents (like boundary diagrams, DFMEAs, SCCAFs).

Services entail vast depth of knowledge and expertise in implications of data and taking actions based on those, as well as have a passion for the lifetime value of a customer. Accessories products generate additional sales of vehicles, parts, accessories and services.


Deliverables:


  • Ensure Project key stakeholder alignment (FPP Planning, Program Management, Purchasing, Finance, Suppliers)
  • Engineering Design and Release responsibility for Re-location of 360° Camera, Park Aid Sensors, and ADAS Radar Project for Bronco Winch
  • Interface with Lead Winch D&R Engineer
  • Develop and maintain Project Bill of Material (BOM)
  • Complete project deliverable assessments and required sign-offs
  • Complete Project individual component and kit BOM, File Setup, and print releases in WERS
  • Develop and complete DVPR including identification of required testing
  • Complete Engineering and Manufacturing Statement of Work
  • Support Vehicle build events as required
  • Complete Fit-up and Instruction Sheet development
  • Order and procure prototype components
  • Identify Ford Design Rules and Safety Standard requirements ensuring designs meet the requirements
  • Complete Project Cost, Feasibility, and Timing Engineering input
  • Complete FMA plan and DFMEA

Basic Qualifications:


  • 5+ years’ experience in design and release of functional components and systems integration
  • Experience with resolving complex issues and effectively communicating to management
  • Working knowledge of Team Center and Vis Mockup
  • Bachelor of Science Degree Engineering Discipline
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with engineering and design of automotive parts and systems

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience developing, designing, releasing, and validating vehicle accessory products
  • Understanding of automotive vehicle program timing
  • Experience with CAD and physical schematics
  • Knowledge of engineering disciplines; Six Sigma, DFMEA, DVP, Certification Testing, GD&T, DFM, Variation Analysis
  • Technical aptitude, desire to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Ford Systems: FEDE, WERS, iPDL, TeamCenter Change Management, GCMS and others.
