We’re hiring a Automation Engineer!

Our Interior Systems Division is looking for a Automation Engineer for its manufacturing facility in Spring Hill provides controls / electrical engineering support to the plant and assists maintenance in supporting the plant through trouble shooting / problem solving methodologies to eliminate down time and decrease quality defects to the customer. The Maintenance/Controls/Automation Engineer will also write / create / modify programs to meet the plant objectives as well as maintain warranty and OEM liabilities.

• Assist production with trouble shooting and programming

Automation Responsibilities:

• Torque control systems
• Robotics – Linear and articulating
• Trouble shooting and programming vision inspection systems
• Get support from relevant technology experts or support functions
• Camera and vision systems.

Process implementation:

• Capitalize on lessons learned and provide best practices
• Implement improvement action plans
• Complete assigned maintenance tasks.
• Participate in equipment reception process
• Carry out process activity analysis
• Ensure equipment delivery and installation in the plant for continuous improvement

The ideal candidate…

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:

Knowledge / Skills:

• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skilled
• Must be very knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methods.
• Strong communication skills - ability to interface with other functions – and work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Torque control system - preferably Atlas Copco

Education / Experience:

• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or technical discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering

Auto CAD, Electrical and mechanical, Multiple controls logic languages software programming, robot programming, robot programming
