Central Engineering Specialist supports the development of the Engineering activities by controlling the site design documentation, providing drafting support, and conducting sitewide design investigations with the usage of internal tools and procedures to meet the business goals of Engineering client.

THE BASICS

• 2+ years of experience in role with similar responsibilities
• Experience with a workflow-controlled document management system
• Associate degree in computer-aided Drafting and Design or 5 + years’ experience in AutoCAD required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD 2019 or newer.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), and Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Ability to read, understand, and revise many types of engineering drawings, including but not limited to: Architectural, Automation, Mechanical/HVAC, Structural, Civil, Electrical, Piping-Plumbing, P&IDs, and Instrumentation and Controls

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide drafting services to engineering by creating or modifying computer aided drawings in 2D and 3D formats in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical disciplines.
• Support to contractors document flows execution, including evaluation of compatibility and compliance to standards of the engineering team, providing feedback in a timely manner, cataloging the generated documentation during various stages of projects implementation.
• Support site with printing services of larger paper sizes and data base assessment for project development and maintenance execution
• Responsible for the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise System, implementing all improvements and updates related to the proper and securer system operation and end user’s need, including access rights and profiles, user’s interface, workflows procedures, revision controls and other system requirements.
• Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Performs drawing and documentation quality control via means of organized and detailed analysis, and actively catalog and maintains all data within Meridian.
• Execute digging permits considering existing underground information, updating site plan in case of deviations found.
• Keep updated the drawing code, including new vendors and new site installations.
• Support the facility and central engineering team with the operation of tools like Ground Penetration Radar (GPR), Radio Frequency Locator (RLF), 3D scanner, Drones inspections, and other required tools that helps evaluating interferences, visualization of optimal technical solutions and measurements.
