Job Summary

**Ability to make good money at a high volume account**

Streamline Recon is growing all over the US and has an immediate position available for an Auto Paint Technician/ Body Man to paint surfaces of vehicles using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques. Our onsite Paint Technicians receive all the tools and supplies for the job along with advanced training. This is a great opportunity to join an amazing company. The current position is a very high volume client so the ideal candidate will be very aggressive to push volume out with a high level of quality. We need someone who is highly skilled and knowledgable in body work.

Responsibilities

  • Plan efficient work procedures using technical manuals and knowledge of surface preparations and painting techniques; arranging to obtain timely delivery of paint and necessary materials
  • Utilize protective supplies as appropriate to ensure cleanliness of vehicle
  • Mix and thin paint or other coating to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts
  • Responsible for cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting
  • Perform quality paint application within timeframe and material allowances as well as according to guidelines by efficiently using appropriate/allocated tools
  • Promote an understanding of and strong dedication to client happiness
  • Spray specified amount or thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings, such as paint, lacquer, sealer, or enamel, onto prepared surfaces
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge sufficient to properly and deftly complete painting assignments
  • Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas
  • Align with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs
  • Accurately evaluate nature and extent of work described on repair order; notifying estimator if portions of work are not necessary or additional materials/work are needed
  • Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted; removing accessories such as chrome, mirrors and windshield wipers

Qualifications

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking
  • Understanding and compliance with safety rules and practices as well as posted work rules and procedures
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • A high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Positive outlook with a high-energy personality
  • At least 1 year of paint and body experience
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Salary: Salary + commission based pay from $4,000 to $14,000 per month

Responsibilities

  • Report to Operations Manager and submit to quality control audits of units completed
  • Completing quality paint and body jobs
  • Manage and communicating client expectations
  • Daily invoicing and record-keeping to give an accurate representation of Streamline to our client with billing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $7,000.00 - $14,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability
  • 10 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Edmond, OK: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Auto painting: 1 year (Required)

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Ability to work outside using techniques compliant with local code enforcement, OSHA, and EPA authorities to responsibly refinish cars regarding spray equipment, waste elimination, and Streamline’s safety guidelines.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot repairs and deliver an exceptional product to clients on a consistent basis.
  • 1-year experience in automotive paint refinishing in the capacity of painter, body man, prepper, or similar technician role.
  • Willingness to learn ancillary services to give customers a complete suite of cosmetic repair solutions.
  • A high level of acumen regarding color matching and spraying basecoat and clearcoat.
  • Ability to correctly use hand and power tools to prepare a surface for finishing by use of bondo, stud-welding, priming, and correctly masking for a flawless finish.
