JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate Associate Product Designer to join our User Experience & Design team. Our ideal candidate is equal parts technical and creative thinker, with a proven ability to create incredible and intuitive customer experiences. To succeed in this role, you will draw on your product design experience, technical knowledge, research abilities, and creative problem-solving skills.

The Associate Product Designer will work closely with other Product Designers, User Researchers, UX Writers, Product Managers, and Engineers to build easy to use solutions. Core responsibilities include championing a user-centered design approach that focuses on the system as a whole, and critical design thinking that asks the difficult questions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Iterate on design concepts
  • Gather business objectives and project requirements from partners.
  • Assist designers with projects within a product area.
  • Work closely and build relationships with clients; manage their escalations, issues and identify a resolution process
  • Work collaboratively to improve design system and UI components for use across the entire product.
  • Work with UX researchers to articulate research needs and conduct user studies
  • Collaborate with UX Writers to create high fidelity designs informed by user feedback.
  • Examine and understand customer and business needs, as well as market for opportunities to determine right set of features to write.
  • Drive user growth through product knowledge and writing detailed use cases and stories for complex features.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • A graduate degree in Graphic Design, UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors (Industrial Engineering), Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Other technical degrees with emphasis or experience in these areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience are also welcome.

Experience:

  • 0-1 years professional experience in the enterprise or other complex software space, designing for easy-to-use desktop and mobile apps
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of the market value of products they have supported, the personas, and each persona's general goals

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to quickly learn other areas of the business and adapt as we grow rapidly into existing and new areas of the PEO business
  • Capable of producing clear and precise documentation
  • Able to be diplomatic when working with internal partners and customers
  • Capable of thoughtfully giving and receiving feedback
  • Possess knowledge of design tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of User Experience design
  • Able to formulate clear and understandable reports and present/communicate findings to internal management/leadership teams

The salary range for this role is $63,600 to $104,880. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
