Associate Software Engineer Jobs

This Associate Software Engineer position is a critical technology role, responsible for designing and developing software in supporting HCM (Human Capital Management) technology platforms with focus on Workday HCM Integration.

Specifically, this role will be responsible for developing software for:

Responsibilities:

• Using programming and development concepts to translate business requirements to integration design specification
• Partner with architects, business architects, business systems analysts, and other software and data engineers on project teams, along with testing teams following Solutions Architecture model
• Supporting Integration Lead in prototyping Integration solutions
• Assess Workday twice-yearly releases and identify impact and opportunities to support new features
• Knowledge of data encryption concepts (PGP, x509, etc.)
• Design, develop and test high performance, highly scalable and flexible software solutions with focus on Workday integrations between internal and external systems
• Develop, test and deploy Workday integrations using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and leveraging APIs for system connectivity and data transfer
• Knowledge of Single Sign-On concepts
• Troubleshoot critical incidents by conducting root cause analysis and identifying solutions
• Must have technical knowledge to be able to work with other teams, including third parties, Enterprise applications and infrastructure teams

• 1 year experience developing Integrations with internal and external systems using data integration best practices including APIs, Messaging Bus, Pub-Sub, ETL, etc.
• Experience with comprehensive testing lifecycle inclusive of Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, and defect remediation
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Innovative thinking and embraces innovation by constantly seeking new or contrary ideas and approaches to what has been done in the past
• 1-2 years technical skills (SOA Architecture, Eclipse, web services, XML, XSL, Python, etc.)
• Experience with secure software development and secure coding practices

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience managing GitHub (CI-CD) repositories
• Experience with Microsoft Office productivity tools
• SAP HR ABAP
• Knowledge of Workday HCM or similar HR systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, etc.)
• Middleware tools/technologies
• Knowledge of HR business process and workflows
• Knowledge of Workday Integration tools/methods (e.g. PECI, Studio, Core Connecter, Web Services API, BIRT, EIB, Workday Extend)
• Lead test execution

Required Education:

• BS Computer Science, information systems or related technology field

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $93,398 to $125,290 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
