Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer in Dan Diego, CA.

The person that fills this opening will be expected to perform the following:

• Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.
• The ideal candidate would, along with regular tasking, research and proactively propose solutions that meet the demands of the warfighter. There are always new problems to solve and new, innovative ways to solve them!
• Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) in an orchestrated and controlled manner.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will meet or exceed the following

• 2-5 years demonstrated experience with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Active/Current DoD Secret or Top Secret (SCI eligible) clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Demonstrated experience developing with Gradle, Maven, or other relevant build tools.
• BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM field; HS 6-8 or equivalent combined experience/education.
• Demonstrated experience developing software on non-Windows operating systems such as Linux, Unix, or macOS.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Desired qualifications:

• Experience developing and testing Spring boot applications.
• Experience with advanced container orchestration tools such as OpenShift, Rancher, or equivalent.
• Experience developing and testing Angular or Vue applications.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Helm.
• Ability to multi-task, be proactive, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
