As an Associate Quality Assurance Analyst, you’ll work within a software development team to improve and enhance our product for customers. You will be responsible for designing and executing manual and/or automated test cases to evaluate quality and usability of our software.
Essential Job Functions
- Participate in frequent team discussions and review of work items
- Design in-depth test cases using a variety of methods/styles/tools, to include functionality, usability, aesthetics, process flow, etc.
- Write detailed documentation of test cases, testing notes, bugs found and other communication
- Advocate for the highest quality possible and the needs of the customer
- Identify and research defects
- Work with the team to confirm release readiness and participate in the pre-packaging and testing process
- Provide project estimates
- Assist in the evaluation of new automation tools
- Review and evaluate design and requirement documentation
- Support and maintain test environments and test data
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira or other test tracking platform a plus
- Close attention to detail
- Self-starter; ability to research issues and seek out solutions
- SQL experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working under Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologies a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Enjoys working in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Exposure to testing tools such as Fitness, Leapwork or Postman a plus
- Bachelor or Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience in software development or related field.
- Must have QA work experience outside of a school setting, preferably 1 to 3 years
- Understanding and familiarity with SDLC and development processes and practices a plus
