Supplier Development Engineer Jobs

Act as liaison between Supplier Quality, Compliance and Purchasing teams.Evaluate new and existing vendors for product feasibility, specifically in meeting the needs of ITA production requirements for both long and short term projects.

Remote but must live near an airport. Travel - 50%

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Interface with ITA team members to prioritize supplier development needs by component to improve cost competitiveness or supply constraints
2. Research external markets (domestic and international) to identify potential sources and suppliers.
3. Drive supplier selection through robust qualification process.
4. Responsible for change management from supply chain to customer approval for engineering changes, process changes and supplier changes.
5. Responsible for management of change, controlling revision level and coordinating inventory readiness and change point management

Qualifications

A BS in Engineering or related technology field along with 5-10 years of related experience. Would like to see supplier evaluation experience along with Tier 1 automotive manufacturing. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
