Our client, a rapidly growing renewable energy developer, is seeking a semi-entry-level leadership role at the cutting edge of the renewable energy industry. The Project Developer works closely with experts in in the area of utility-scale renewable energy industry. The PD supports the development of projects from early-stage site-identification all the way through permitting and/or NTP. The PD is responsible for handling complex tasks and supporting Project Managers on a variety of projects. The PD interacts with a diversity of internal teams and external stakeholders & public officials. This is an early-career position for leaders who are seeking professional growth opportunities in the renewable energy industry with the opportunity for training in order to proceed further in the field.
The Project Developer will be responsible for:
- Prepare propernal reporting and project tracking efforts
- Assist with efforts to secure critical transmission and interconnection contracts from utilities and transmission providers
- Engage in community outreach and stakeholder management activities
- Conduct land, market, regulatory, and related project research
- Identify and oversee the development of utility-scale wind, solar and BESS projects by creating project maps and databases using GIS tools
- Compile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits at the local, state, and federal level
The qualified Project Developer will possess:
- Strong knowledge of ARCGis Software
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Environmental Studies or Energy-related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software with strong Excel skills
- 1-3 years experience in renewable energy project development or similar renewables experience
