Job Description

We have partnered with a leading, high-growth, renewable energy company that owns and operates an expanding portfolio of 20+ facilities across the US. This company is strongly focused on developing and contracting new Utility-Scale Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage projects throughout the US, with 25 GW currently under development and construction, and a further 2.2 GW contracted.


This company is quickly expanding across multiple regions and therefore seeking an experienced Project Development Director to help lead the development efforts and grow out a team that embodies a highly rewarding and collaborative environment from top to bottom.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and oversee project M&A's
  • Work autonomously and take responsibility for your strategies and their successful execution.
  • Negotiate land acquisitions/agreements and maintain relationships with landowners.
  • Travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Oversee and manage permitting and mitigation processes.
  • Identify strategic partnering opportunities.
  • Lead regional development efforts, managing multiple projects and development team
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and consultants.
  • Identify and secure new project development sites.
  • Oversee and manage interconnection requests and processes.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience in utility-scale solar and/or wind project development.
  • Good understanding of development processes of major power projects.
  • Experienced in leading utility-scale projects 50MW+
  • Experienced across all aspects of greenfield project development.
  • Excellent project management skills with a highly collaborative and diligent approach.
