Job Description
Position Title: Associate Manager, Omni Marketing, Writing
Location: Atlanta, GA
Reports to: Senior Manager Digital Marketing, Writing
The Omni Marketing Team is an integral part of Newell Brands Writing Division. It is focused on acquiring and retaining consumers online across our distribution channels (In Store, Retail.com and Amazon) using media strategy and tactical execution to deliver for our iconic portfolio of brands. We consider the consumer first and their shopping journey online & offline with seamless delivery and execution.
This Associate Manager, Omni Marketing, Writing will work across the diverse portfolio of Writing brands, including Sharpie, Elmer’s, Paper Mate and others. As an Associate Manager, you will assist with telling the brand story through digital activation from conception to execution. Additionally, you will be focused primarily on growing the Retail.com business via paid search / display as well as managing content. Additionally, some responsibility for the strategy behind campaigns spanning search marketing, CRM, SEO and paid social. You will work with your brand partners to understand their priorities and initiatives and help translate those into online campaigns. You will also understand sales data to help incorporate priority into your team’s marketing plans.
Specific Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
  • CRM/Email
  • Involvement with agency relationships including briefing and creative development process
  • Digital Shelf management
  • Review Seeding
  • Content management
  • Digital Technology team to optimize campaign performance
  • Retail.com Sales teams to build eCommerce activation plans
  • Paid Search / Display
  • Own the relationship with your Category teams and work to develop a digital plan that ladders back up to key brand priorities
  • In-house Creative and Production teams to drive scale and efficiency of assets
  • Deliver POS / market share growth at each Retail.com customer
  • Retail.com Marketing
  • Analytics to understand sales lift and performance trends to optimize the media mix
  • SEO
  • Collaborate in the marketing campaign planning process and strategy development in accordance with overall brand and ecommerce growth plans. Involves:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help achieve aligned priorities and goals
  • Involvement in preparation for key customer and internal planning meetings
  • Leverage state of the art analytics tools to understand customer activation and digital campaign performance and distill insights to help drive growth
  • National Paid Media
  • Lead strategic projects around content development, catalogue improvement, paid digital media program recap and comparison, marketing website management
The Candidate
  • Strong experience working within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • BS/BA or University degree in a related field
  • Experience working with Digital Marketing agencies preferred
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • 2-4 years of digital marketing and/or Ecommerce work experience or experience working in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer durables industry, and/or Retail strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple activities and assignments simultaneously
  • Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies
  • Detail-oriented and operationally-focused
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong passion for both speed and simplicity
  • Takes initiative & brings impeccable follow-up skills
