Associate Director Of Product Development

Fetch for Pets is looking for a full-time NYC-based team member to oversee a team of product managers for pet product categories. Product lines include, but not limited to, grooming & personal care, waste management & consumables.

We are looking for an energetic Associate Director of Product Development who is passionate about building products that customers love. This is a senior-level position that will be joining a dynamic and fast-paced environment and is responsible for overseeing the development of new products within the company. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that meet customer needs and align with the company's strategic objectives. This position requires one to possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. This includes spending time in the market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

Responsibilities

• Communicating product updates and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Conducting market research and analyzing customer feedback to identify gaps in the market and new product opportunities.
• Leading the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring that the product is developed on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
• Identifying and managing product risks, such as technical or market-related challenges, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Monitoring product performance and conducting ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Developing product roadmaps, pricing, positioning, and prioritizing features based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
• Leading and mentoring a team of 3-5 product managers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as design, sales, and marketing to ensure that the product is delivered on time and meets customer expectations.
• To be successful in this role, an Associate Director of Product Development should have a strong background in product management and development, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. They should also be highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to identify market opportunities and make data-backed decisions.

Requirements

· Must be NYC-based.

· Must have experience in consumer goods (skin care, hair care, cleaning, etc.) or pet supplies (grooming & health related products) development and production.

· Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment.

· Multi-tasking is a MUST!

· Must be super organized & follow-up oriented.

· Must be willing to devote full time to Fetch.

· Experience in the pet industry a BIG plus!!

· 5+ years of product management experience in consumer products

· 3+ years of managerial experience & having led a team of at least 3 team-members.
