The Commercial Insights and Operations (CI&O) team has an exciting opportunity to join Deciphera as we work to discover, develop and commercialize important new medicines to improve the lives of people with cancer. We are seeking an individual to bring energy, passion, and dedication to excellence in support of core business objectives.


Role Summary


Responsibilities


The Associate Director, Market Access Insights & Analytics is responsible for transforming (planning, generating, integrating) insights and analytics into commercial growth opportunities and tactics relating to all aspects of product access


  • Payer: insights, product and company perception, commercial product coverage
  • Any other relevant customer purchasing insights & metric tracking for current and future Deciphera assets
  • Customer purchasing group insights and performance (e.g. GPOs, VA, 340B hospitals, etc).
  • Channel (Specialty Distributor (SD) and Specialty Pharmacy (SPP)): activity and performance
  • Patient services: activity and performance of initial product access and ongoing intervention programs


Key Activities


  • Liaise with Directors of Field Access (DFAs) and Market Access Leadership to analyze and address evolving challenges and opportunities relating to product access
  • Support payer and channel marketing development
  • Elevate the utility and design of internal tools, reports and dashboards to streamline and facilitate monitoring and analysis of product availability
  • Oversee interfacing with vendor partners to resolve data discrepancies and ensure performance expectations are being met
  • Contribute analyses to internal business review meetings that improve business insights
  • Contribute to market access strategy development for pre-commercial and commercial assets
  • Participate in Vimseltinib brand and launch planning, especially as it relates to all aspects of product access, channel development and pricing
  • Serve as thought partner and access analytics SME on all access related topics


Qualifications


  • 7+ years of relevant business experience in marketing, finance, analytics, clinical, management consulting, pharmaceutical solutions supplier or related field
  • Experience utilizing advanced data query & processing tools (e.g. R, SQL, Python)
  • Demonstrated success partnering across the commercial organization to translate specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution analytics and insights into actionable recommendations
  • 5+ years of experience in insights or analytics, with a preferred focus in market access, patient services or pharmaceutical channels/distribution
  • Demonstrated skill communicating data, models and analyses to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with Rx, patient claims, patient service centers (i.e. HUB and copay data), and managed markets data sources (e.g. SHS, Specialty Pharmacy data, Specialty Distributor/3PL data, Fingertip formulary, MMIT, etc.)
  • Experience working in a small start-up or recently commercialized biopharmaceutical organization, preferably in oral oncology and where systems are still evolving; maintains a ‘no job is too big or too small’ attitude
  • Demonstrated experience shaping and influencing organizational decision-making


Technical Skill Requirements


  • Knowledge across a broad spectrum of analytic approaches / data sources and ability to identify appropriate approach to address key business questions
  • Expertise in domain specific data sets of pharma and payer data
  • Strength in storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations
  • Strong learning agility and demonstrated success solving ambiguous business issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
