Reporting to the VP, Campus Head and Biologics GM, The Devens Campus Engagement leader is a member of the Campus Leadership team and the Biologics Leadership team. They lead the Campus Engagement Team and Social Committee, and oversee all their projects and delivery. They promote the OneBMS at Devens Culture, drives Campus internal communication and engagement events and activities. They work both strategically and tactically.

Drives the Devens Campus Engagement and Culture as follows:

  • Makes decisions that consistently require developing new options to solve highly complex, sometimes novel problems. Decisions inform/impact annual site objectives.
  • Develops and issues internal communication supporting the Campus as well as the Campus Head, in form of emails, presentations, posters, TV screens, intranet etc.
  • Influences and builds strong working relationships across all levels and diverse cultures.
  • Drives the organization and execution of the campus engagement events.
  • Displays an enterprise mindset by approaching projects with a more global approach, involving appropriate internal and external stakeholders and support groups.
  • Develops and maintains the charter of the engagement and social committee teams. Recruits and oversees volunteers and contractors as needed. Leads the campus engagement and social committee teams and ensures teams deliver on all projects. Has the potential of leading other organizations if required.
  • Serves as point of contact and facilitator for external visits.
  • Partners closely with Employee Resource groups, site committees and inclusion & Diversity Council.
  • Shapes engagement strategy through innovative technical solutions and executing initiatives that supports long-term goals for the campus.
  • Organizes the Devens campus leadership team (CDC) meetings and supports / follows up on resulting actions.
  • Mentors and coaches volunteers of various levels with focus on successful delivery of projects and influencing culture and values across the campus
  • Collaborates with all functions to advance the campus people strategy and engagement as well as all related events.
  • Accountable for bi-weekly publication of campus newsletter (DVNews).
  • Develops and maintains campus communication reference materials and SharePoint sites.
  • Effectively manages resources to address priorities and meet schedules.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in project and/or people management with some experience operating in a culture and engagement role.
  • Passion for people and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor at various levels. Excellent listening, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think in a clear, decisive manner, to remain calm under adverse conditions, and to reach independent, sound solutions during normal and emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in business applications i.e. Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated success in working with senior leaders, developing communication to impact and influence decision making.
  • Ability to work independently and to deliver on results in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in developing creative and professional multi-media communications.
  • Experience leading and managing a diverse team of volunteers and contractors.
  • Background and experience in communications preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is desired.
