Job Title: Business Analyst, Sales Innovation
Location: This position is hybrid and located in Greater Houston area, TX
Job Details:

The Sales Innovation Analytics team is responsible for making data-driven decisions to drive and support our growth strategies across multiple channels and lines of business within energy, carbon offset, and e-commerce marketplaces.
With Salesforce at the heart of these solutions, our business analysts play a key role in managing, integrating, and evolving our technology platform for optimizations in sales enablement, business intelligence, operational effectiveness, and user experience. This means you will interface and collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple lines of business and departments spanning Sales, IT/DevOps, Operations and BI.
To be successful, you must be comfortable adapting to changing technological environments and a quick and independent learner of new tools, software, and skillsets. You are a self-starter, with the ability to break down ambiguous or complex business challenges into concrete, actionable steps. You take pride in your attention to detail, ability to analyze quantitative data, and overlay qualitative business context to define KPIs, develop dashboards, and make business recommendations to senior leaders.
You will think critically, questioning and challenging the status quo. You will build and support business processes that focus on sales velocity and enablement. Our ideal candidate must possess the business acumen and technical skills/experience noted, enjoy working in a highly dynamic, fast-paced and virtual (remote) environment, as well as be experienced at managing complex projects and competing deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor, understand and articulate the performance of acquisition, retention and renewal activities across various business channels and segments
  • Drive successful business outcomes by leveraging data and creating reporting to allow visibility into critical business performance and improve key performance indicators
  • Develop relevant forecasts and modelling to test and identify profitable product strategy
  • Interpret and analyze internal and competitive data to recommend optimization strategies
  • Investigate new technologies to identify technical solutions to various business problems, with a focus on continuous improvement on marketing ROI and sales center performance
  • Engage with business users at different levels to understand business needs, analyze, document their requirements within Epics/User stories/Features and requirements documents as required
  • Apply various data analysis to identify areas of opportunity for the business and follow through with developing solutions that maximize returns
  • Drive, develop and maintain numerous project deliverables including functional/non-functional specifications, data mapping/transformation, solution design, process diagram and acceptance criteria

Required Skills/Experience
  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to interpret and derive insights from complex data sets
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies, including flowcharts and user stories
  • Results Oriented – able to define goals and metrics, develop actionable plans, and manage work to achieve desired outcomes. Has a sense of urgency and fosters the same in others
  • Accountability – assumes ownership for achieving personal and team goals
  • Previous Salesforce administration experience or certifications would be an asset
  • 3+ years relevant experience as a business/systems or financial analyst in an enterprise environment
  • University degree in a quantitative field such as finance, mathematics, business, or engineering
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and/or other data analytics/reporting tools an asset
  • Change Oriented – works effectively in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change
  • A team player with strong communication skills to work within a remote/virtual environment
