Team And Role Overview
The Associate Consultant will be responsible for working as part of the team to configure the Calypso back office software according to client requirements. The main responsibilities included acquiring a deep knowledge of the Calypso solution, configuring the solution per requirements, testing the configuration as part of the implementation execution, and helping translate the requirements into Calypso implementation.
Responsibilities
  • Taking leadership and advice from team leaders, working directly with customers to gather, scope, and understand business requirements, and influencing them towards our best practice solutions
  • Work hands-on to configure and test the system to ensure that it meets the business requirements wherever there is a deviation from our out-of-the-box solution
  • During the development of enhancements, the Consultant will work with the Product team or Project technical team to iteratively test enhancements to ensure they will meet business requirements
  • Identify and raise approved core product gaps and follow up through our internal process until delivery
  • Responsible for training users on basic use of the system, new functionality
  • Follow up with the Client’s end-users to validate the solution delivered, achieve signoff, and continue to support various phases such as SIT, UAT, and Migration activities and move the system toward go-live
  • The Consultant will assist in the deployment and validation by the Client
Skills And Requirements
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Experience working with a software vendor in a Business Analysis role or as a functional Back- office user within the capital markets industry is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting field with strong exposure to Math or Computer Science.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator with strong problem-solving skills. Must be resourceful and demonstrate initiative in getting the job done.
  • Strong willingness to learn both the core Calypso solution as well as Capital Markets industry concepts
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%), as required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge and functional experience in support of one or more of the following Asset classes a plus: Foreign Exchange (FX), Fixed Income and Money Market (FI/MM), Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), FX Derivatives (FXD), Credit Derivatives, Equities, and Equity Derivatives, Commodities and Commodity Derivatives
  • Hands-on experience massaging or analyzing data using tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar
  • Expertise in the support and/or implementation of a Back-Office system primarily in post-trade processing areas of Trade validation, Cross-Asset Accounting, Settlements, Reconciliations, Messages (SWIFT/Paper), and Regulatory and Internal Reporting
Compensation Range:
  • $67200- $95700

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise.
