Job Description

Join a thriving private practice supporting high-achievers and entrepreneurs as you pursue independent clinical licensure.

Description

Curate your ideal therapy client caseload and schedule. Learn from supportive and informative clinical supervision. Develop business management and marketing skills through coaching by the practice owner.

Based in San Francisco with spacious, modern offices in the Hobart Building in Downtown San Francisco (by Montgomery Bart) and Dogpatch/Potrero Hill with opportunities for telehealth.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation according to industry best practices & prioritize client-centered care with timeliness, responsiveness, and reliable follow-through
  • Share strategies, tools & resources from practicum experience, and/or prior career
  • Meet clients’ need for some morning, evening, and/or weekend availability
  • Understand effective treatment strategies for relevant/common challenges for high-achievers & entrepreneurs (ie: depression, anxiety, complex trauma, shaky self-esteem, burnout, anger management, narcissistic abuse, family estrangement, personality disorders, suicidality, grief & loss, and/or addiction)
  • Support 10-20 weekly therapy clients within your preferred clinical specialty areas


Background Requirements:

  • Flexible start date pending Associate licensure, if appropriate
  • Bold, mission-driven; value autonomy and collaboration
  • Advanced clinical degree from accredited institution;
  • Clinical orientation and training grounded in evidence-based models (ie: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Complicated Grief Therapy, and/or Cognitive Processing Therapy.)
  • Empathetic, professional with high integrity and intellectual curiosity
  • On track towards independent licensure as LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, LPCC
  • Direct clinical experience providing evidence-based individual therapy for adults
  • Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT), Psychological Associate, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)

  • Competitive compensation based on clients’ sliding scale rates ($100-$150/session); Fee split: 55% Associate / 45% Practice = $55+/hr (negotiable based on experience with opportunities for advancement)
  • Access to office space for in-person & telehealth clients w/ high-speed fiber internet
  • Hired as W2 employee with stable referral stream & right to refer out when appropriate
