Assistant Superintendent

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Superintendent provides on-site administrative management through planning, coordination, and supervision of craft employees and trade contractors to ensure the project is constructed in a safe and organized manner. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force
• Create daily reports and report quantities and time for Manhattan craft workers
• Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings
• Ensure implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts
• Assist Superintendent as necessary
• Assist in development in job-specific plans (SWPPP, Hazcom, Safety, etc.)
• Inspection of contractor or (sub)contract operations to ensure compliance with contract
• Assist with the updating and management of the project schedule
• Assist in development and maintenance of site logistics plan, in coordination with Superintendent
• Direct Field Engineers and/or survey team
• Ensure an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one to one basis
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience
