Pay Rate - $16.00 per hour


As an Assistant Athletics Retail Manager, you will support a Athletics Retail Manager in oversight of store operations. You will be responsible for driving results through sales growth while delivering the highest level of brand and operational excellence throughout the store by ensuring your team delivers an engaging customer service experience.


You will cultivate an environment of mentorship and continuous development of your team members while staying engaged in financial metrics and store performance and support an Athletics Retail Manager with overall store operations.

The Assistant Manager supports all areas of the retail operation. The Assistant Manager will work a rotating, full-time schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and extended hours on game days and during events.


Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Executes merchandising standards, promotion standards, creating displays, etc.
  • May provide general Store cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting) and straightening (shelves, displays, and register areas).
  • Trains new team members and seasonal team members hired for peak seasons
  • Supervises the work activities of part-time team members and Temporary staff including:
  • Stock shelves and take inventory per schedule.
  • Ensure the stockroom and/or warehouse is properly maintained and organized.
  • Keyholder with opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Meet, greet, and interact with customers to ensure their needs are met with exemplary customer service
  • Schedules team members' work hours
  • Use creative merchandising techniques in the presentation of products; and constantly keep product levels filled, restocked, and rotated to ensure sales at all gameday locations are maximized.
  • Performs onboarding procedures for new hires.
  • Ensures Team members follow company and store policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensures the proper merchandising standards, promotion standards, creating displays, etc.
  • Assist with the gameday buildout and merchandising of all retail locations.
  • Operate point of sale system and inventory management system
  • Partners to create and maintain a hassle-free customer service culture, focused on solutions-based selling and an exceptional customer experience.


Education, Experience, And Requirements


  • 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Availability to work extended hours on game days and during events
  • General Computer Skills
  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Demands


  • Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and move about the location for 8 to 10 hours as needed
  • Game Day scheduling may be exposed to weather elements (rainy, windy, cold, high temperatures, etc.) if the assigned location is outside the team shop.
