Job Description
Assistant Manager, Product Operations

The Assistant Manager, Product Operations oversees all planning and processes for Pinhook’s supply chain, from warehousing to bottling. Based in Kentucky, this position is remote with travel to distilling and bottling partners, as needed.

Inventory Management
Work with Pinhook Senior Team to translate sales objectives and release schedules into a bottling plan and inventory forecast.
Order and manage delivery timeline for all packaging components, ensuring deliveries are in-line with bottling schedule and well-communicated to bottling partners
Schedule barrel transfers between facilities to support bottling schedule and warehousing capacity
Working with FinOps teammates, update and reconcile barrel, finished goods and raw material inventories based on bottling schedule/distillery reports/sales; research and resolve discrepancies
Production Planning and Quality Management
Use Asana to develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans in accordance with the bottling plans, collaborate across teams as necessary
Develop and implement the production schedule with bottling and warehousing partners; negotiate and communicate changes where necessary.
Coordinate with marketing team on the creation, submission, and approval of new packaging and labels
Lead bottling partners through each production run:
Prepare and send checklists for each bottling, specify all production requirements
Manage the testing and standard-setting for the use of new materials
Identify and request all production samples needed
Coordinate effective proofing and quality control with bottling / distillation partners
Follow progress of bottling runs, ensure product will be available on-time and triage any delays
Field any and all quality issues during production or with finished product in market; work with appropriate partners to resolve them
Identify opportunities for production improvement across blending, proofing & bottling
Oversee production of Pinhook’s True Single Barrel and Small Batch programs
Facilitate all communication around logistics (bottling completion, final yield, availability for pickup)
Relationship Management
Lead Pinhook’s day-to-day relationship with distilling, warehousing and bottling partners
Manage relationships with vendors for all packaging components, and identify / assess new vendors where new components and/or improvements in price or quality are needed
Communicate updates and reports to Pinhook team
General
Work closely with all members of the Pinhook team, pitching in across areas where needed
Compile and analyze data to identify takeaways
Key Requirements
2-5 years of experience in spirits, consumer goods and/or production. Bourbon experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Superb attention to detail
Highly analytical and data driven
Curious, eager to learn about details of processes and projects
Relationship focused and team oriented; inclusive of all
Collaborative and able to find compromises in difficult situations
Extremely organized with a track record of developing and maintaining systems and tools
Creative and solutions-oriented; approaches problems with a positive attitude and open mind
Tech savvy: experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Asana a plus
Excellent time management and organizational skills
The ability to define and effectively solve a variety of changing situations under stress; ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Self-driven, results-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Primarily remote work environment. Flexible work schedules, with the possibility of some nights and weekends
When on site visits with production partners may be required to:
Lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs
Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
Working in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous equipment and situations and conditions
Sometimes wear protective and safety attire, such as gloves
