The Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the of the FOH but will also work as a liaison with the BOH to ensure there is a good flow of communication and teamwork throughout the restaurant. This individual will excel in his/her teaching and training ability and have the patience and knowledge for both the leadership and development of the entire staff and ensuring each and every guest has an exceptional experience.
Summary Of Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of P&L statements
• Assist in the facilitation of the interviewing, hiring and training processes
• Create a positive and team-oriented atmosphere which promotes learning and having fun
• Set a positive example. Your mindset reflects directly on the staff ...happy staff equals happy guests!
• Foster a positive and growth-cultivating work environment
• Conduct inventory, place orders and process deliveries
• Create schedules
• Ensure all areas of the restaurant are in proper operation
• Maintain excellence in food quality and presentation by upholding product specifications
• Develop employees from hiring, training, and continued coaching in an effort to maintain a low turnover of employees
• Assist in the development and implementation of in-house marketing to increase sales
• Ensure every guest receives outstanding products and service in a timely manner
• Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation
• Forecast food, beverage and labor costs and maintain each within budget parameters

Requirements

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to write recipes and understand product costing
• Understanding of P&Ls
• Previous salaried restaurant management experience preferred
• ServSafe and HAACP knowledge a plus
• Professional communication skills both oral and written
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Approximate 55 hour work week
• Ability to lift up 50 pounds
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel/spreadsheet knowledge preferred)
