position purpose:

• The Service Manager is responsible for managing staff, daily operations of the restaurant performance as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, health and safety, and guest experience

Requirements

qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task effectively under fast-paced working conditions
• Must possess working knowledgeof current restaurant management standards and trends
• See ADA
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a full-service casual establishment
• Specialized historical knowledge of the Cayuga County and Village of Aurora area
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, or related field
• Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety procedures
• Extensive knowledge of the arts, culture, viniculture, agriculture, and history of the Finger Lakes and Inns of Aurora
• Flexibility with hourly schedules, including weekend, holiday and evening availabilities
• Ability to maintain neat, professional and clean appearance and practices
• Previous personnel management experience of 5 or more employees
• TIPS certifications; will train as needed
• Experience with Micros software
• Specialized organizational and verbal communication skills
• Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and possess highly developed interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and general computer literacy
