**Overview:**

The Ecocentric Future Lab at The University of Texas at Austin seeks an organized, reliable, and highly-skilled Assistant/Lab Manager to support the research and administrative initiatives of Assistant Professor Jiabao Li. This position is ideal for individuals with robust writing skills who are passionate about art, design, research, and creative technologies.

Applicant must be a student at UT Austin with a valid EID.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. Efficiently manage research funds and ensure timely and accurate budgeting.

2. Collect and process receipts for reimbursements.

3. Draft, proofread, and submit research grants and other proposals.

4. Apply to various open calls pertinent to the lab's focus.

5. Coordinate with museums, galleries, and other institutions for exhibition requests.

6. Draft and distribute lab newsletters and other relevant communications.

7. Schedule and manage Professor Li's calendar, meetings, and academic commitments.

**Essential Qualities:**

- Strong writing and editing skills.

- Ability to respond promptly to messages and requests.

- Highly organized and adept at multitasking.

- Proactive and resourceful, with a keen eye for detail.

- Familiarity with research processes and grant applications is a plus.

**Position Details:**

- Hourly Rate: $12

- Work Schedule: Approximately 6 hours per week (hours may vary)

- Location: mostly online, sometimes in Austin
