Position Overview:
The Assistant Golf Superintendent In-Training is an entry level position for candidates seeking management careers in golf course maintenance. The position is designed to provide the individual with experience and training directed specifically towards preparing for advancement to an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent position. The AIT performs a broad range of maintenance activities including, but not limited to, equipment operation, agronomic product applications, special projects, limited supervision, and administrative and record keeping duties.

Candidate must have completed a two or four-year Turfgrass Management program or Certificate, possess a degree in a related field, or have equivalent golf course maintenance experience deemed sufficient to fulfill the duties of the position. All candidates working towards a career in Turfgrass Management, regardless of education experience will be highly considered upon review.
