The Assistant Director of Player Engagement / Football is responsible for assisting the Director of Player Engagement / Football in preparing student athletes for personal, academic & athletic development/engagement success & community involvement. The position reports to the Director of Player Engagement / Football, Chief of Staff / Football & will work directly with the Director of Football Operations. This role is responsible for adhering to all department & university policies & procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws & interpretations of the Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] & National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA].
Required Qualifications
Master's degree and/or bachelor's degree with relevant experience working in collegiate athletics or similar field.
Knowledge of programming & academic success within a collegiate athletic program.
Experience in working with &/or providing support to a diverse student-athlete population.
Robust organizational skills with the ability to independently handle multiple tasks.
Strong interpersonal, oral & written communication skills.
Limited experience in planning & managing high quality events & programs.
Requires non-standard working hours, evening, night & weekend work.
Commitment to diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience working with student-athlete development &/or academic support services within intercollegiate athletics.
Experience in a Division I Power 5 football program, including the recruitment of student athletes.
Experience establishing relationships with community members, etc.
