The Assistant of Admissions serves as a leader in the admissions office reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions and Family Experience and will assist with all of the responsibilities of the enrollment operation, including but not limited to administering financial aid, reporting, interviewing, recruitment, outreach and marketing, travel, corresponding with families and consultants, and the evaluation of applications. Duties and Responsibilities Strong sense of initiative to identify and engage new opportunities that move the collective work of the admissions office forward. Recruit and admit prospective students and families by providing a line of support as they move through the admissions process, including: Interviewing, counseling, and corresponding with prospective students and their families. Manage the evaluation process of Senior and Middle School applicants including: screenings, interviews, 1:1 conversation, and questions about the application process. Works with the Admissions Team and Business Office to design, coordinate, and execute financial aid processes. Advises prospective families on admissions and financial aid policies and procedures, with primary responsibilities for working with prospective students entering grades 6-12. Retention support: work with Senior and Middle School divisions leadership to assist in the retention of students/families. Strengthening partnerships with international organizations, consultants, and schools. Program/Event Management: Student Tour Guides, Retention, LINK Program, Shadow Days, and Open Houses. Develop and cultivate relationships with current and potential feeder schools and perform outreach to target populations in person and virtually. Work with the Marketing and Communications Team to generate social media content and contribute newsletter updates to the Sewickley Academy Community. Works with Admissions Assistant to generate weekly and monthly reports, tracking enrollment funnel, student retention and enrollment forecasting for financial aid. Minimum of three-five years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, and financial aid. Independent School experience preferred. Bachelor's degree. Successful candidates will be energetic, strategic, engaging, compassionate, and collaborative. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills combined with an interpersonal style that fosters warm connections with applicants for grades 6-12, as well as their parents. Ability to administer admissions testing instruments. Knowledgeable of the admission database, Google Suite, MS Office applications, and information management.
