Job Summary


Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking a highly motivated, customer service focused, results-driven Assistant Director of Admissions for Recruitment to play a key role in implementing recruitment strategies and assisting with the daily operations of the Admissions team. This role will primarily focus on the recruitment of undergraduate transfer students, non-traditional students, and adult learners. Additionally, the Assistant Director will actively participate in the overall recruitment of new students by having an assigned recruitment territory. This individual will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service. Position will also provide leadership within the Enrollment Management Services Division.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as admissions representative at college fairs, college and university visits, high school visits, information sessions, and other recruitment events and activities on and off-campus, as well as in the virtual environment to recruit prospective students
  • Responsible for the recruitment of transfer students, non-traditional students, and adult learners; Supports overall recruitment efforts by having an assigned recruitment territory, primarily within the Gwinnett County area
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Participants in and provides leadership during recruitment events and activities both on-campus and off-campus
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides oversight for initiatives associated with the recruitment of undergraduate transfer students, non-traditional students, and adult learners
  • Assists in the development and implementation of partnership programs with external institutions and organizations to support enrollment of transfer and non-traditional students, and adult learners
  • Works directly with prospective students and their families throughout the admission process; Reviews admission applications and supplemental materials to effectively communicate with prospective students throughout enrollment process
  • Manages the admissions inbox and communication services tickets
  • Assists with the hiring and on-going training of admissions counselors and student workers
  • Collaborates and serves as an admissions liaison with other GGC college departments and staff to fulfill a variety of roles related to new student enrollment

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Banner experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite products and in the use of technology
  • 2+ year relevant experience in an admissions setting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • CRM experience
  • Detail oriented self-starter, high energy with initiative, and a proactive problem-solver
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills, including presentation skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented skills with a commitment to student success and diversity are essential attributes to this position
  • Ability to work within both a team and independently, recognize the importance of time sensitive deadlines and meet the demands of a high pressure office environment
  • Capable of managing a recruitment territory and supporting overall recruitment efforts
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
