Job description In this role, you will support the Design department, including all categories through the design process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet all deliverable and timeline requirements according to business strategy and design calendar
• Line sheet creation and update, working with design team to cross-check accuracy prior to handoffs
• Organize and maintain proto samples, reference samples and track sample movement
• Facilitate design team tools and references requests (ordering, reference samples, general supplies, etc.)
• Organize and maintain design libraries (fabric, trims, silhouettes, etc.) keeping accurate record of additions/changes
• Open, log department parcels, and distribute accordingly
• Organize and pull samples needed for ecommerce shoots, style outs and catalogue requests

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs (Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Eager to grow and take on new responsibilities
• Ability to sketch with accurate scale and proportion
• Outstanding time management skills: working to a deadline, working independently
• CAD skills for technical and construction detailed sketches using Adobe Illustrator
• Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative team player
• Must have great follow up skills via –e-mail, phone, and/or other methods of communication
• Basic apparel technical and fit knowledge
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Happy to embrace change and new challenges as marketplace shifts and consumer needs evolve
• Ability to communicate and work well with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
• Proficient organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in design, or related field preferred or equivalent related work experience

3 years’ experience of apparel design.

Cut+sew design experience is preferred

Must have a Strong Portfolio and have strong hand sketching skills
